The Canton Lady Tigers jumped out to an early lead on Schyuler and captured a 9-1 victory on Thursday.
An RBI double by Allison Phillips and a single by Olivia Jarvis during the first inning helped the Lady Tigers put some runs on the board early.
Phillips had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
Olivia Jarvis picked up the win. She pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out five.
The Lady Tigers were sparked by Phillips and Jensen Crenshaw, who teamed up for nine hits and six RBIs.
Schubert was charged with the loss. She allowed nine runs in seven innings, walked none and struck out two.
The Lady Tigers pushed across three runs in both the third inning and the seventh. In the third, Canton scored on a groundout by Crenshaw, scoring Emma McKinstry.
They tacked on another three runs in the seventh. Phillips started the inning with a single. That was followed up by Jarvis' single, bringing home Crenshaw.
