Lady Tigers Victorious Over Marion County 15-5

Friday was a great day for Allison Phillips, as she hit two home runs to carry the Canton Lady Tigers to a 15-5 victory over Marion County in six innings.

The Canton Lady Tigers beat Marion County thanks to 13 hits, including four extra base hits. The Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the fourth on an RBI triple by Olivia Jarvis, an RBI single by Emma McKinstry, an error, an RBI single by Laken Hugenberg, a two-run home run by Phillips, and an error.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with five lead changes.

Phillips tacked on another homerun the fourth inning, while Hugenberg homered in the fifth inning.

Canton's McKinstry, Hugenberg, Phillips, and Jarvis combined for 10 hits and 11 RBIs.
