Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Olivia Jarvis could carry the Canton Lady Tigers past Highland on Monday as the Canton Lady Tigers suffered a 3-2 defeat.
Jarvis racked up two RBIs on one hit. She doubled in the sixth inning. Jarvis was a workhorse on the rubber as well allowing one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.
Dana Flanagan got the win for Highland. She allowed two runs over seven innings. She struck out 11, walked one and surrendered two hits.
The game's last lead went to Highland thanks to a fourth inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI double by Meyer.
Highland added two more runs in the top of the fifth.
After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the sixth, the Lady Tigers faced just a 3-2 deficit. A two-run double by Jarvis gave Canton life.
