Lady Tigers Defeat Highland

The Canton Lady Tigers and Highland passed the lead back and forth five times on Wednesday, but in the end the Lady Tigers pulled out a 6-4 win in seven innings over Highland.
The Lady Tigers took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. They scored on a two-run double by Jensen Crenshaw off Dana Flanagan, scoring Emma McKinstry and Kailee Gaither.
Crenshaw racked up two RBIs on two hits for Canton.
Bri Caldwell got the win for the Lady Tigers. She allowed three runs over six innings. She struck out none, walked two and surrendered nine hits.
Flanagan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out 14.
Highland jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Highland got things going when Amber Garner singled. A stolen base then moved Garner from first to second.
Highland pushed one run across in each of the second, fifth and sixth. In the second, Highland scored on a solo home run by Flanagan.
