Lady Tigers Take District Championship

The Lady Tigers claimed their second consecutive Class 1, District 12 Championship on Saturday. They advance to the sectional round of the MSHSAA Class 1 State Softball Tournament. Their next opponent will be the Atlanta Lady Hornets. They will play on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:00 PM in La Plata, Missouri.

The Canton Lady Tigers beat Scotland County 17-2 in four innings on Saturday after an 11-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Canton Lady Tigers scored in the fourth on a two-run error, an RBI double by Laken Hugenberg, an RBI single by Saylor Collins, an RBI single by Emma McKinstry, a groundout by Bri Caldwell, an RBI triple by Jensen Crenshaw, and two-run double by Hugenberg.

Olivia Jarvis got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over four innings. She struck out one, walked none and surrendered four hits.
