Lady Tigers Take Sectional Title

The Lady Tigers defeated a very good Atlanta team on Wednesday night 3-0 to advance to the quarterfinal round of the MSHSAA Class 1 State Softball Tournament. They will take on Pilot Grove on Saturady in Canton.
Olivia Jarvis threw a shutout to carry the Canton Lady Tigers over Atlanta in seven innings. Jarvis racked up 11 strikeouts and allowed only 1 hit in the the win.
The Canton Lady Tigers Varsity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring three runs on two doubles and a groundout by Allison Phillips.
