Tigers 10 North Shelby 1
The Canton Tigers jumped out to an early lead on North Shelby and captured a 10-1 victory on Tuesday.
A 2-run double by Logan Brown and a two-run home run by Koy Smith during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Tigers.
Smith had two extra-base hits for the Canton Tigers.
Lance Logsdon struck out 11, paving the way for the win. Logsdon allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks over five innings.
Connor Chinnis, Brown, Logsdon and Smith helped lead the Tigers' offense. They combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
Canton pushed across one run in both the third inning and the fourth. In the third, the Tigers scored on a walk by Chinnis, scoring Cooper Hudnut.
Canton tacked on another three runs in the fifth. Brown's single got things going. That was followed up by Logsdon's double, bringing home Brown and Smith.
