The Canton Tigers jumped out to an early lead on La Plata and captured a 15-2 victory on Thursday.

An RBI double by Josh Kermoade, a two-run single by Drake Serbin, and a two-run double by Trey Metz in the first inning and an RBI single by Serbin and a passed ball during the second inning fueled the Canton Tigers offense early.

Serbin racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Tigers.

Cooper Hudnut got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over four innings. Hudnut struck out five, walked one and gave up three hits.

The Tigers tacked on another six runs in the third. A single by Lance Logsdon ignited the offense, plating Logan Brown.

Canton built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. A bases loaded walk scored Orlando Luna to get the Tigers on the board in the inning.
