Tigers 8 Palmyra 7
With the score tied at seven, Drake Serbin came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Ethan Wingerter for the walk-off victory.
Koy Smith paced the Canton Tigers at the plate. Smith went 2-3 and scored three runs. He singled in the third and seventh innings.
Smith looked sharp on the hill in relief of starter Cooper Hudnut who was plagued by defensive errors in an otherwise great start. Palmyra managed just two hits off of Smith, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
The Canton Tigers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Tigers threat began with a single by Logan Brown. An error then moved Brown from first to third. Brown then stole home. Smith later scored on a groundout by Cooper Hudnut.
After a quick strike from Palmyra, the Tigers responded with three runs in the fifth. The Canton Tigers Varsity scored on a walk by Lance Logsdon and a two-run single by Hudnut.
