The Canton Tigers beat Paris on Thursday 17-7 in six innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with six lead changes.

The Tigers finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. An error scored LaVion Wilson and gave the Tigers the lead for good.

Koy Smith racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Tigers.

Lance Logsdon got the win for Canton despite allowing seven runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked six and surrendered five hits.

Seven Canton hitters combined for 19 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

The Canton Tigers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. They got things going when Logan Brown singled. A passed ball then moved Brown from first to second. Cooper Hudnut singled, plating Brown. The scoreboard lit up again for the Tigers when Smith scored on a passed ball.

The Canton Tigers didn't give up the lead after the third inning. Additional runs came from three singles.

The Tigers quickly matched Paris' strong inning with a four-run inning of their own in the fifth. The Tigers scored on a two-run double by Smith, an RBI single by Hudnut, and a groundout by Drake Serbin.
