Tigers 2 Scotland County 1
The Canton Tigers didn't give Lance Logsdon much support, but he got it done without it. Logsdon pitched seven strong innings to carry the Tigers to a 2-1 win over Scotland in seven innings on Thursday.
Josh Kermoade got a hit in each of his two at bats. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning before being intentionally walked in the sixth inning.
Buford was charged with the loss despite an excellent start. He pitched six innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
The Canton Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Tigers got things going when Koy Smith singled. A passed ball then moved Smith from first to second. Kermoade doubled, bringing home Smith.
Canton went up for good in the fourth, scoring one run.
